Obama to Pick Pro-Abort Elena Kagan for Supreme Court

By Kathleen Gilbert

WASHINGTON, D.C., May 7, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Top White House aides expect President Obama to select Solicitor General Elena Kagan on Monday as the Supreme Court justice to replace retiring Justice John Paul Stevens, reports Mike Allen of Politico Friday.

Kagan is known for strongly favoring taxpayer funded abortion, and is a critic of the 1991 Supreme Court decision Rust v. Sullivan, which upheld federal regulations prohibiting Title X family planning fund recipients from counseling on or referring for abortion.

I just knew this was going to happen! This anti-Christian movement that the Obama administration has been gearing up and rolling over us like a steamroller since he got into office. Can you just imagine the impact that Ms. Kagan will have on the Supreme Court. It will not be long my friends when your taxes will be paying for state funded abortions. We need to really get down on our knees and pray. May God have mercy on the United States of America!  God bless, Lloyd

Lloyd, in the end times, which I believe we are in, this sort of stuff is to be expected. I don't approve of this choice and agree that we all need to start praying for the US of A ( and also Canada as where the US of A goes, so do we , eventually.

This is very disturbing news. Prayer for our nation and its leaders is a must!

Darkness is increasing, but it is all ushering in the King! Come Lord Jesus, come! I agree we must pray. Sadly, so many are hating when we are called to pray. These are difficult times. I am especially grieved when I see so many in the grips of false doctrine, but comforted in knowing that the Word of God says that "IF" it were possible even the elect would be deceived. (Matthew 24:24) That tells me that in the end those who are His will not be deceived. The question is, who is His child? Who has been born again and baptized spiritually? Because if I have not been baptized spiritually, I'm going to still be struggling with taking external steps to save myself and then I wonder if those doing this are truly saved since they've treated what Christ did on the cross as nothing. Sad. I still pray, for all our hearts, for the blind, for all leaders, for in one instance God opens the eyes. Let us continue to pray dear one.

The above bloggers are right. This is the sign of the end times. Paul said that they will grow worse and worse. Yes, we need to pray not because of OB or his appointments, but becasue it is the right thing to do.

Don't forget, God is absolutely sovereign, and can use even OB and even sin to fulfill His perfect purpose and even to glorify His name.

It grieves me but doesn't worry me. God is right on time doing the right thing for His glory.

Even as I feel bad to see our country getting more dirty every day-- I have full hope that Jesus will be here soon and not a minute too soon.

I'm so glad you visited my page, please come again! It caused me to hop over here and see your blog. WOW! It's loaded!! And I so appreciate your voice of truth and taking a stand in this world. You are right on target... and we need to pray more than ever during these days. I've never seen things progressing so quickly in the wrong direction for believers. I remind myself every day... none of this shocks God... His hand controls all of it... but we as His people must dig in deeper and be the light He's called us to be.

I'll be back.

Blessings!

Sonja
