Arizona votes to ban funeral picketing!

Arizona legislators have approved an emergency law to head off picketing by a fundamentalist Kansas church near the funeral service for a nine-year-old girl who was killed during a mass shooting in Tucson.

The Arizona bill, which would make it a misdemeanor to picket or conduct other protest activities within 100 meters of a funeral or burial service, comes after the Westboro Baptist Church said it planned to picket Thursday's funeral for Christina Taylor Green because "God sent the shooter to deal with idolatrous America." This news article just makes me ill at my stomach...what are the members of the Westboro Baptist Church from Kansas thinking! If it isn't bad enough that innocent people had to die because of the rampage of a devil possessed young man, but now the family of the nine year old little girl that was murder in the incident has to condone and be harassed by "SO CALLED" Christians that claim it was all God's will that the shooting took place.

Westboro Baptist Church has also protested at funerals of our soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shirley Phelps-Roper, a Westboro church member and a daughter of its pastor, said the prohibition wouldn't matter because church members planned to picket at one of two intersections more than 300 meters from the church where the girl's service will be held.

Why would a Christian church act in such a manner to bring shame upon itself? The only answer that I can come up with is this... maybe our Lord Jesus is not the head of their church! Is it any wonder why organized religion has such a bad connotation to it by the world? What are some of your thoughts regarding this fundamentalist Baptist Church?

UPDATE:  Kansas-based Westboro Baptist Church, Pastor Fred Phelps, has decided to back down from their plans to picket the funeral of 9-year-old Christina Taylor Green, the young girl who was gunned down over the weekend in Tucson, Arizona, in a shooting that claimed the lives of 5 others. In return, they have been promised airtime by two radio stations.

It seems that we have all been wondering if President Barack Obama, who claims to be a Christian, is in fact a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. This article by Dave Hunt pretty much explains why President Obama has allowed the world (devil) to influence his judgment as President. The simple truth is that President Obama is not a Christian. I have always considered President Obama to be one of the most anti-Christian presidents in the history of the United States. Now, after reading Dave Hunt's article, I can understand why. UK Bishops Support for Homosexualist Agenda

Is Glenn Beck being used by God?

Is Glenn Beck being used by God as Jim Garlow, an influential California pastor, wrote in a five-page memo this week? Mr. Beck has always been outspoken about his faith and beliefs as a member of the Mormon Church. 'Glenn is saved,' " Garlow said in his memo, which was dated Wednesday. "He understands receiving Christ as savior." I can only think that Mr. Garlow has no concept as to what the beliefs are of the LDS Church to justify this statement.

Ungodly Hollywood Celbrities

In the past few months I have noticed more and more Hollywood celebrities going public with their own personal ideas of God and our Lord Jesus. The really sad part of the whole matter is that most of them are totally ignorant of God's Word and they seem to have no moral responsibility to the millions of young souls they are causing to reject Jesus for some false religion or cult.

Jesus said, “Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 10-32-33)

Jesus said, "But he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God." (Luke 12:9)

Other Holy Scriptures that deal with the denial of our Lord Jesus Christ are:

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. (1 John 2:22-23)

For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4)

Father God, it just saddens my heart to listen to these ungodly Hollywood celebrities that broadcast lies and distorts the truth of You and Your Son Jesus to millions of lost souls all around this world. It is my prayer that all believers stand up and let these ungodly Hollywood celebrities know that they are all going down the path of destruction and that they need to repent and turn back to the only true God by accepting Your Son Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.
