Are You Experiencing God’s Peace and Joy?

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Romans 5:1-5)

These verses introduce a section that contains some difficult concepts. To understand the next four chapters in the book of Romans, it helps to keep in mind the two-sided reality of the Christian life. On the one hand, we are complete in Christ (our acceptance with Him is secured). On the other hand, we are growing in Christ (we are becoming more and more like Him). At one and the same time we have the status of kings and the duties of slaves. We feel both the presence of Christ and the pressure of sin. We enjoy the peace that comes from being made right with God; but we still face daily problems that often help us grow. If we remember these two sides of the Christian life, we will not grow discouraged as we face temptations and problems. In stead, we will learn to depend on the power available to us from Christ, who lives in us by the Holy Spirit.

So, why is incest wrong?

by Albert Mohler

December 21, 2010 (AlbertMohler.com) - There are certain questions now pressed upon us that previous generations would never believe could be asked. One of these is thrust upon us by events in New York City, where a well-known Ivy League professor has been arrested for the crime of incest. What makes the question urgent is not so much the arrest, but the controversy surrounding it.

David Epstein is a professor of political science at Columbia University, where his wife also teaches. He previously taught on the faculties of Harvard and Stanford. Last week, he was arraigned before a judge in Manhattan, charged with a single count of felony incest. According to authorities, Professor Epstein was for several years involved in a sexual relationship with his adult daughter, now age 24. Click "here" to read the full article.

I found this to be a very interesting article writen by Albert Mohler who is the President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I am just waiting, like many other Christians, for the cry of "discrimination" against incestuous acts ...as well as "discrimination" against bestiality, polygamy, and pedophilia to come to the forefront of our socially elite, liberal court system.

How Is Your Conduct In The Midst Of Suffering?

Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation. (1 Peter 2:11-12)

As believers, we are “aliens and strangers” in this world, because our real home is with God. Heaven is not the pink-cloud-and-harp existence popular in cartoons. Heaven is where God lives. Life in heaven operates according to God’s principles and values, and it is eternal and unshakable. Heaven came to earth in the symbolism of the Jewish sanctuary (the tabernacle and temple) where God’s presence dwelt. It came in a fuller way in the person of Jesus Christ, “God with us.” It permeated the entire world as the Holy Spirit came to live in every believer.

Playing The Hate Card!

One Way to Shut Down Debate
By: Chuck Colson

What’s the easiest way to shut down a debate? Well these days, just label your opponent a hate-filled bigot. No doubt at Thanksgiving dinner, many of you shared what you are thankful for. Foremost on my list was the freedom we as Americans still enjoy to practice our religion. This includes the right to promote laws and leaders who uphold our values. But in the week before Thanksgiving, an influential civil rights group that claims to fight “hate and bigotry,” was making a list of its own.

In its newly-released Winter Intelligence Report, the Southern Poverty Law Center labels eighteen Christian organizations as “anti-gay groups.” The charges? “Pumping out demonizing propaganda aimed at homosexuals and other sexual minorities.” Click here to read the full story.

After reading this article by Chuck Colson regarding the Southern Poverty Law Center's (SPLC) attack on "anti-gay groups" it sounds like the end times are getting closer folks! It makes me wonder just how long it will be before your church will be added to the SPLC's "hate groups list" along with the Neo Nazis and the Ku Klux Klan!

I Am Not Ashamed of The Gospel!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:16-17)

The New Testament speaks of salvation in the past tense (Ephesians 2:8), the present tense (2 Corinthians 2:15), and the future tense (Romans 13:11). In the past, the believer has been saved from the penalty of sin. In the present, the believer is being saved from the power of sin. In the future, the believer will be saved from the very presence of sin (Matthew 5:10–12; 8:17; 2 Corinthians 5:10; 2 Timothy 2:11–13; Revelation 22:12).

The Dark Side of Biotech

Expert details grisly fate of fetal body parts.
by Kathleen Gilbert

WASHINGTON, D.C., December 8, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Every day in America, countless packages are carefully transferred for use by government, university, pharmaceutical and other biotechnology laboratories. Some of these end up advancing development of products such as cosmetics and food additives; others are used directly as a form of therapy.

The material in those packages are human body parts - eyes, ears, limbs, brain, skin - now an indispensable commodity for many U.S. researchers and scientists, and a lucrative export of America’s abortion clinics. Click here for the full story.

_____________________________________________

I came across this news story about where a lot of the "remains" are shipped after leaving some U.S. abortion clinics. I really was not aware that this was going on in our country. I guess I am sort of naive about certain things that are happening in our country. I know this is probably something that we do not want to hear, let alone think about, this time of year....but to tell you the truth, it just literally makes me ill just thinking about it.

The sad part about this whole "Supply and Demand" issue, as far as it goes to the need for human body parts, is that the "Supply" will always grow with the "Demand", which means more SUPPORT for abortions.

Marriage – The Biblical Concept

Wife:

Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5: 22-24)

Just as Christ is not inferior to the Father, but is the second Person in the Trinity, so wives are equal to their own husbands. Yet in a marriage relationship, a husband and wife have different roles to the Lord: A wife’s voluntary submission arises out of her own submission to Christ.

What Happens To Babies Or Infants Who Die?

Do they go to heaven or hell? By way of background, we have to remember that everyone is guilty before God because of the sin we inherited from Adam (Romans 5:12; 1 Corinthians 15:21-22). In fact, there is not a single righteous person (Romans 3:10-11). We have all sinned and fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Therefore, everyone is guilty before our Holy and Righteous God no matter how young or how old they may be. Furthermore, belief is a necessary requirement for salvation (John 3:18-19; Acts 16:31, Romans 10:9).

The Church of the Living God

These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly; but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory. (1 Timothy 3:14-16)

Paul’s purpose in writing his first letter to Timothy was to give him instructions on how a local assembly and its leadership should function. This verse (1 Timothy 3:15) is commonly cited by Roman Catholics to "prove" the infallibility of the teaching and doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church. The assumption here being that by the process of apostolic succession, the Roman Catholic Church is the church of God and therefore it is "the pillar and ground of truth", which can never error doctrinally.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving Day!

I would like to personally thank each and every one of my friends in Christ this Thanksgiving Day. The Lord has been so good to me and my wife Margaret this year. Please take a few moments this morning to give our Almighty and Awesome God the praise and thanks He so justly desires.

Let us prayer for the homeless and hurting souls out there that have nowhere to go on this Thanksgiving Day. Find it in your hearts to reach out to the lost and lonely folks who are hungry and need someone who really cares about them. Reach out in your communities and neighborhoods and share God's blessings with someone today. The Lord will bless you abundantly for taking in one of His sheep that has gone astray. God bless you and your family. Lloyd

The True Church

Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16:16-19)

The disciples answered Jesus' question with the common view - that Jesus was one of the great prophets come back to life. This belief may have stemmed from Deuteronomy 18:18, where God said He would raise up a prophet from among the people. Peter, however, confessed Jesus as divine and as the promised and long-awaited Messiah.

Jesus Loves His Little Children

Grisly remains of aborted babies found in Thai Buddhist temple

By Thaddeus M. Baklinski

BANGKOK, Thailand, November 17, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Police in Thailand have uncovered the remains of more than 300 aborted babies hidden inside a Buddhist temple in Thailand’s capital city of Bangkok.

Police chief Sumeth Ruangswasdi said they had been called to investigate a strong smell in the Wat Phai Ngern temple, and discovered a total of 348 fetal remains wrapped in plastic bags and newspaper in a mortuary storage area, according to an AP report.

Police Colonel Metee Rakphan told AFP that plastic bags were found "with fetal corpses inside hidden in the storehouse of the temple." "We assume that they were from illegal abortion clinics, and we are now investigating," he said. Click here for the full story.

The Holy Scriptures speak of a fetus as a person, not simply tissue that can be discarded if found to be a bother or nuisance. Since the fetus is a person from the moment of conception, then the destroying of the fetus is killing a person.

My heart and soul cries out for the 300 slaughtered unborn children who did not get the chance to come into this world. The 300 children of God who never were able to enjoy all that God wanted them to be. Have mercy O Lord on the mothers of these unborn children and those who assisted in their extermination.

All charges dropped against pro-life pastor

By Thaddeus M. Baklinski

OAKLAND, California, November 16, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The Appellate Division of the Alameda Superior Court has dismissed all criminal charges against Oakland pro-life witness Pastor Walter Hoye.

Hoye was arrested in May of 2008, charged, found guilty and imprisoned for peacefully counseling and picketing at a local abortion clinic.

He was charged under a 2008 City of Oakland bubble zone ordinance, which prohibits pro-life protesters outside abortion facilities from standing within 8 feet of women seeking abortions. His lawyers claimed the bubble zone ordinance was enacted for the sole purpose of keeping Hoye away from the Oakland abortuary and was an infringement on his constitutional right of free speech.

In January 2009, Hoye was found guilty of two counts of unlawfully approaching women entering an abortion facility, a misdemeanor enshrined in city law the previous spring.  Click here to read the full story.

This is an interesting article concerning Pastor Walter Hoye in his legal battle after being arrested for peacefully counseling and picketing at a local abortion clinic in 2008.

The freedom of speech and religion in the United States of America is becoming a constitutional right that, we as Christians, can not always take for granted. God bless you Pastor Hoye for your steadfast conviction to the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ.

LET US ALL BE "One in Christ"

I can hardly believe that it has been a whole year now since I was led by the Lord to start up this blog and spread the good news of the gospel. I can honestly say that it has been a very exciting and challenging experience for me. There are so many folks out there with "Christian blogs" that are just as dedicated as I am to reach the lost souls of this world. I want to thank all of my friends that follow and post comments. You have all been an encouragement too me and I consider you all my brothers and sisters in Christ.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED? (PART 2)

Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” (Mark 1: 14-15)

What is the good news of God? These first words spoken by Jesus in Mark give the core of His teaching: that the long-awaited Messiah has come to break the power of sin and begin God’s personal reign on earth. Most of the people who heard this message were oppressed, poor, and without hope. Jesus’ words were good news because they offered freedom, justice, and hope. Does the message of the gospel bring freedom, justice, and hope into your life?

Barack Obama's Religion

By Dave Hunt
The Berean Call

Q. Do you think President Barack Obama is a Muslim? I respect your answers to questions.... I just read an article in which the author thinks Obama is a "closet" Muslim.

A. It would seem that rather than being a closet Muslim, Obama is more of a universalist with some new age beliefs thrown in. Consequently, he may be sympathetic to Muslims but always identifies himself as a "Christian." His "Christianity," however, is not biblical Christianity, and those with whom he has associated are known for their Liberation Theology - an attempt to marry Christianity with Socialist/Communist principles. Click here for the complete article.

It seems that we have all been wondering if President Barack Obama, who claims to be a Christian, is in fact a follower of our Lord Jesus Christ. This article by Dave Hunt pretty much explains why President Obama has allowed the world (devil) to influence his judgment as President. The simple truth is that President Obama is not a Christian. I have always considered President Obama to be one of the most anti-Christian presidents in the history of the United States. Now, after reading Dave Hunt's article, I can understand why. Please continue to pray for our country and the ungodly politicians that run it.

WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.”But the righteousness of faith speaks in this way, “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ ” (that is, to bring Christ down from above) or, “‘who will descend into the abyss?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:5-13)

Rather than living by faith in God, the Jews established customs and traditions (in addition to God’s law) to try to make themselves acceptable in God’s sight. But human effort, no matter how sincere, can never substitute for the righteousness God offers us by faith. The only way to earn salvation is to be perfect – and that is impossible. We can only hold out our empty hands and receive salvation as a gift.

Aborted Babies Found in Michigan Dumpster

By Peter J. Smith

LANSING, Michigan, October 27, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Tighter legislation on the abortion industry is in the works after a local pro-life group revealed evidence of two abortion clinics having disposed aborted fetal remains with other bio-hazardous waste and medical documents in a dumpster.

According to Citizens for a Pro-Life Society (CPLS), the Michigan Attorney General and Saginaw County sheriffs concluded last Friday their 7-month investigation of two Woman's Choice abortion clinics in Delta Township and Saginaw. Click here to read the full article

President Obama Endorses LGBT Youth 'Spirit Day'

By Kathleen Gilbert

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 22, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - President Barack Obama has issued a message exhorting young people who consider themselves homosexual to "be true to" themselves and recognize their sexual tendencies as "a source of pride, and a source of strength."

Obama issued the remarks in the wake of a nationwide "Spirit Day" in which celebrities, media, and schools across the nation wore purple to express solidarity with homosexual youths who have committed suicide. Click here to read the full story.

__________________________________________________

This is a very passionate and heartfelt speech that our president is giving to the young folks out there that are being bullied because of their sexual orientation. There is never a good reason to bully another person! My heart continues to go out to those lost souls who could not see a light at the end of the tunnel but only a freight train coming at them.

My heart is saddened because the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) hailed the video of the president's speech as an "historic" boost to the homosexualist campaign towards youth. "The President's empathy and concern, so clearly and directly expressed, is an historic contribution to the outpouring of support for LGBT youth we have seen over the past few weeks," stated the GLSEN blog. No wonder our young folks are so mixed up with all of the different signals they are getting bombarded with.

I continue to pray for the families that are left behind to deal with the end-results of suicide. I pray for the young folks out there who allow their sexual desires to overcome them to the point of sinning against our Almighty God. My prayer is that they will repent of their sins and come back to the Lord and allow Him to get them through these tough times in their lives. May our Lord have mercy on our souls.

This is My Prayer

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:14-21)

In the original text, Father and family are related words. All families of men and angels derive from God the Father, their Creator. The family of God includes all who have believed in Him -- in the past, all who believed in the present, and all who will believe in the future. We are all a family because we have the same Father. He is the source of all creation, the rightful owner of everything.

40 Days for Life Announces Milestone: 3,000 Babies Saved

By John Jalsevac

October 12, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Yesterday the 40 Days for Life campaign announced a significant milestone for the burgeoning pro-life initiative – its 3,000th baby saved from abortion since the first 40 Days campaign in the fall of 2007.

“To God be the glory for reaching this major milestone!” wrote Shawn Carney of 40 Days in yesterday’s update. “That's a LOT of children and mothers spared from abortion. And that's a lot of GREAT stories.” Click here for the complete story.

Work Out Your Own Salvation

Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:12-13)

When studying this passage of scripture, it is important to remember that "Therefore" ties this verse to the previous section where Paul desires the Philippians to respond positively to his admonition to have the mind of Christ (Philippians 2: 5–8). The command is to the entire group since the word you is plural. The subject is their mutual, corporate salvation (Philippians 1:19, 28; Luke 22:24–30).

Between the Boy and the Bridge — A Haunting Question

I am haunted by the one question that seems so obvious and clear in the account of Tyler Clementi’s tragic death. In those days of crushing anguish, humiliation, and confusion, was there no one who could have stood between that boy and that bridge?

Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr.
Monday, October 4, 2010

By all accounts Tyler Clementi was an 18-year-old young man who was excited to be a freshman in college, gifted as a violinist, and looking forward to the future. All that changed last week when he walked out onto the massive George Washington Bridge that connects New York with New Jersey and jumped 200 feet to his death.

The last few days of Tyler Clementi’s life were a cauldron of confusions. Over the course of three days, he learned that his roommate at Rutgers University, also age 18, had surreptitiously turned a webcam toward his bed, filming him in a romantic encounter with another male student. The roommate employed social media to inform friends of the event, turning what Tyler Clementi assumed was a private moment into a devastating public disclosure. Click here to read full story.

After reading this story, I am also haunted by the same question that Dr. Mohler had.  In those days of crushing anguish, humiliation, and confusion, was there no one who could have stood between Tyler Clementi and that bridge?

I ask you the same question that Dr. Mohler posed too his readers. What if Tyler Clementi had been in your church? Would he have heard biblical truth presented in a context of humble truth-telling and gospel urgency, or would he have heard irresponsible slander, sarcastic jabs, and moralistic self-congratulation? What about Asher and Billy and Seth?

Suffering for Righteousness Sake

But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. (1 Peter 3:14-17)

Since not everything in the world functions as it should, even those who do God’s will may undergo suffering. When Peter said if we should suffer "for righteousness’ sake", he is saying that believers should make certain that when they suffer it is only because they have served God faithfully and not because they have done anything wrong (1 Peter 4:14, 15). Then Peter states, "you are blessed." indicating that God specially honors those who suffer for doing what is right (see Matt. 5:10–12).

Divorce — The Scandal of the Evangelical Conscience

Commentary by Albert Mohler

Note: Albert Mohler is the president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary - the flagship school of the Southern Baptist Convention and one of the largest seminaries in the world.

Thursday, September 30, 2010 (AlbertMohler.com) - Mark A. Smith, who teaches political science at the University of Washington, pays close attention to what is now commonly called the “culture war” in America. Though the roots of this cultural conflict reach back to the 1960s, the deep divide over social and moral issues became almost impossible to deny during the late 1970s and ever since. It is now common wisdom to speak of “red” states and “blue” states, and to expect familiar lines of division over questions such as abortion and homosexuality.

In the most general sense, the culture war refers to the struggle to determine laws and customs on a host of moral and political issues that separate Americans into two opposing camps, often presented as the religious right and the secular left. Though the truth is never so simple, the reality of the culture war is almost impossible to deny.

And yet, as Professor Smith surveyed the front lines of the culture war, he was surprised, not so much by the issues of hot debate and controversy, but by an issue that was obvious for its absence — divorce. Click here to read full story.

The reason that I have posted this article was to bring to your attention something that is very important to God -- and that is marriage and family. I think everyone here would agree that "marriage" is a very important element of any "family" and that it is instrumental in the emotional and spiritual growth of both adults and children. Then why do we not want to raise any issues about how divorces in the country affect the family? We certainly talk about how abortion and homosexuality affects the family, but for some reason the Christian community stays silent on DIVORCE. Have we forgotten what the Word of God tells us about DIVORCE (Malachi 2:16, Matthew 19:8-9, 1 Corinthians 7:11-13)?

UK Bishops Support for Homosexualist Agenda

By Hilary White

ROME, September 27, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Last Monday, when the head of the Catholic Bishops of England and Wales (CBEW) told a BBC interviewer that the U.K. bishops had not opposed the creation of legal civil partnerships for homosexuals, he was speaking from a longstanding policy that was published in 2005. But a source close to the CBEW has told LifeSiteNews.com that that policy was rejected by the Vatican for not being in line with Catholic teaching. The UK bishops, however, have implemented it without change, ignoring Vatican-mandated corrections. Click here to read the complete story.

The Secret of Contentment

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil. 4:10-13)

Are you content in any circumstances you face? Paul knew how to be content whether he had plenty or whether he was in need. The secret was drawing on Christ's power for strength. Do you have great needs, or are you discontented because you don't have what you want? Learn to rely on God's promises and Christ's power to help you be content. If you always want more, ask God to remove that desire and teach you contentment in every circumstance. God will supply all your needs, but in a way that He knows is best for you (Phil. 4:19).

A Story of God's Love

I would like to introduce to you a person that has been an inspiration to me and my wife Margaret in so many ways. This is our cousin Bonnie Lemke who lives in a small town near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bonnie loves the Lord and she isn’t afraid to let folks know it. She and her husband Randy have a ministry at the local state prison where they go and witness to the lost souls there. But this isn’t the reason why I am compelled to write this post today. For you see, Bonnie is also a cancer survivor and has been an inspiration to thousands of folks who have cancer and to their loved ones whose life’s have been turned upside down with the fear of losing someone to this dreaded disease.

Bonnie has been battling ovarian cancer now for over seven years. Each year was a miracle from God because the doctors didn’t think she would make it one year. It just humbles me to think of how our Lord has used Bonnie to witness to so many hurting folks out there through her CaringBrideg.org website and her prison ministry. I recall how excited Bonnie was when our Lord allowed her to be with her family last Christmas. Oh the love, joy and peace that our Lord gave Bonnie that day when she could be with her family to celebrate Jesus’ birthday. For you see, Bonnie’s health had been going down-hill and her cancer treatments were not working anymore. But God was so gracious with His love and mercy that He allowed Bonnie to spend her seventh Christmas with her family since her diagnoses. God is Good!

This morning our beloved Bonnie is laying in a hospital bed clinging to what is left of her earthly life. With her husband and family by her side, Bonnie can feel the love that they all have for her. Bonnie has fought a good fight and her departure is near. Soon Bonnie will be in the arms of our Lord and she will hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’ (Matthew 25:23)

“I AM WHO I AM.”

"Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.” Then they took up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by. (John 8:56-59)

God told Abraham, the father of the Jewish nation, that through him all nations would be blessed (Genesis 12:1-7; 15:1-21). Abraham had been able to see this through the eyes of faith. Jesus, a descendant of Abraham, blessed all people through His death, resurrection, and offer of salvation.

Can a Christian lose their Salvation?

There are those who believe that a Christian can lose their salvation after God has given them this free gift. These folks believe that if we, as believers, make a mistake (sin) that our Almighty God will erase their name out of the Lamb's Book of Life (Rev. 21:27). I have to admit, that there are a few scriptures in the Bible that may cause a believer to think God will remove their names from the Lamb's Book of Life, but if you look closer at God's Word you will see that there are so many more scriptures that are so clearly telling us this is not the truth.  When God promises to never leave us nor forsaken us He means exactly that (Deut. 31:6) .

Pro-abortion Driver Escalates Abuse to Violence

Written by Operation Rescue Posted September 16, 2010 at 11:58 am

Despite the attacks, pro-life workers continue to save babies and impact the community with the message of Life

Albuquerque, NM – A man that had been verbally harassing pro-lifers outside a late-term abortion mill in Albuquerque for days, escalated his abuse to violence yesterday by driving his large paneled delivery truck up on a curb and striking the large pro-life sign being held by Bud Shaver.

Shaver was unhurt in the incident but his sign showing an image of an aborted baby was damaged.

Shaver jumped into the Truth Truck and was able to get the license plate number of the vehicle that hit him. He reported the incident to the police. Click here for complete story.

Can you believe this is actually happening! Apparently verbal harassment did not work so a Pro-Choice advocate decided he would run down a pro-life advocate with his truck.  This type of threatening behavior seems to be the norm in today's society - if you do not agree with another persons moral values - blow them up - shoot them - or run over them with your truck.  My God... What is this world coming to.

Jesus said, "You must be born again."

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit." (John 3: 5-8)

What did Nicodemus know about the kingdom? From the Bible he knows it would be ruled by God, it would be restored on earth, and it would incorporate God’s people. Jesus revealed to the devout Pharisee that the kingdom would come to the whole world (John 3:16), not just the Jews, and that Nicodemus wouldn’t be a part of it unless he was personally born again (John 3:5).

Should Christian's Judge Others?

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. (Matthew 7: 1-5)

Jesus tells us to examine our own motives and conduct instead of judging others. The traits that bother us in others are often the habits we dislike in ourselves. Our untamed bad habits and behavior patterns are the very ones that we most want to change in others. Do you find it easy to magnify others’ faults while excusing your own? If you are ready to criticize someone, check to see If you deserve the same criticism. Judge yourself first, and then lovingly forgive and help your neighbor.

Catholic Hospitals in Spain Accused of Providing Abortions

By Matthew Cullinan Hoffman

CATALONIA, Spain, September 7, 2010 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Several Catholic hospitals in Spain's Catalonia region have been accused of providing abortions by the Spanish newspaper ABC.

ABC reports that the health ministry records of two Catholic hospitals, the Sant Pau (Saint Paul) Hospital and the Hospital of Granollers, show that they have for years performed "Voluntary Interruptions of Pregnancy." ABC also reports that it has confirmed that in just one year, Sant Pau Hospital has performed twenty such abortions. The same hospital has lobbied in favor of the legalization of the abortion-inducing "morning after pill," RU-486, ABC reports. Click here to read the full story.

This should be an interesting story to follow. The RCC has always been against abortions so I am sure that when this finally breaks loose and all of the facts are in there will be some Catholic hospitals in Spain were "Heads" will roll or "Funding" will stop. I remember when I was employed at Mercy Medical Center here in the Roseburg, Oregon area, that it was sometimes hard to hire or keep the hospital employed with Christians. So these accusations are not a big surprise to me because there are a lot of non-believes that make it up the corporate ladder even in a Catholic funded and owned hospital. God's blessings.

Is Glenn Beck being used by God?

A handful of prominent evangelical activists are defending their decision to attend television host Glenn Beck's conservative rally in Washington this weekend after some Christians complained that evangelicals shouldn't be partnering with Beck because of his Mormon faith. Is Glenn Beck being used by God as Jim Garlow, an influential California pastor, wrote in a five-page memo this week? Mr. Beck has always been outspoken about his faith and beliefs as a member of the Mormon Church. 'Glenn is saved,' " Garlow said in his memo, which was dated Wednesday. "He understands receiving Christ as savior." I can only think that Mr. Garlow has no concept as to what the beliefs are of the LDS Church to justify this statement.

Jesus said, “I am the bread of life.”

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.(John 6:35-40)

Jesus had just worked a mighty miracle of feeding over 5000 people (John 6: 10-14) as a setting for a plain talk on His true mission in the world. While He had spent much time ministering to men's bodily needs, the real purpose of His coming into the world was to save men's Souls. In the synagogue at Capernaum (John 6:59) Jesus takes the bread as His starting-point for a deeper lesson. And this lesson was that He came to provide "bread" that will satisfy more than physical hunger. Jesus is the bread God gives, the one who comes to give life to the world (John 6:33). Those who believe in Him will never hunger (John 6:35). When Jesus told them that, they all began to lose interest.

Contend Earnestly For The Faith!

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. (Jude 3)

Jude's primary focus was the ethical dangers posed by false teachers who denied Christ's lordship by using Christian freedom and God's grace as a "license for immorality" (Jude 4). These false teachers were "grumblers and faultfinders" (Jude 16), scoffers who followed their own ungodly desires and natural instincts (Jude 18-19).

Jude's letter emphasizes the lordship of Christ (Jude 4,9,14-15,25). Christian freedom is not a hall pass to do whatever one wishes. Christians are to build themselves up in the foundational teachings of the faith, pray, remain faithful to God and be merciful to others.
