Give Honor to our Veterans!

It is the VETERAN,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN,
not the politician,
who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,

It is the VETERAN,
who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD,
AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the military service no matter where they serve.

Father God let us always remember these young men and women who serve our county so that we can be FREE. Heavenly Father, be with those families who's loved ones gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Lord, it is my prayer that You give all of these folks the peace and comfort that only You can bring. I pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen

Thank you, Lloyd. I like and appreciate your thoughts here very much. It's hard for me to understand why more citizens don't give just a little bit of themselves to serve their country. It is certainly a huge growth opportunity and a chance to actually give back something meaningful.

My family and I drove around our little town and saw the vets in the parade. Then, we went out to lunch and it was sad that they were only giving discounts to active duty military. I asked my husband, "What about the vets?" They should be the no.1 in the list to be remembered. They have given their all to preserve our freedom, too.

So glad you're honoring them here today and with you, I'm praying for them. May the Lord bless them, vets and all in the military. God bless you bro.

An amazing day! I went down town right on 11am. One of our young soldiers was brought home and buried on this day. All the eleven's ran together. The eleveth hour, the eleventh day of the eleventh month of the eleventh year..Amazing...God Bless all our service people.
In Australia we have an Ode, every evening at 6pm in all service clubs the bugle plays the Tapps. Then a man recites...
"From the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them, lest we forget."
Everyone repeats the last part slowly, then there is one minute silence. I have always loved this time. God Bless you.

Hear hear!!! More people need to hear this message and be aware of those who have served to protect our liberties. Every time I see a veteran at the store I thank him for serving. They earned that endless gratitude.
