EVERETT, Washington, March 24, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Only days after reports emerged of a firebomb attack on an elderly participant in a 40 Days for Life vigil in Kalispell, Montana, 40 Days for Life campaigners in Everett, Washington are also reporting harassment that has taken place during the current spring campaign.

On the 40 Days for Life Everett blog, local leader Michelle McIntyre wrote that on March 21, “a man appeared at our vigil site with his face covered by a handkerchief or some type of mask and displayed pornographic pictures, flat on the sidewalk just before a family of prayer volunteers arrived with their children.” The display deterred the family from bringing the children on site, she said. It seems that the pro-abortion folks can not express themselves now without becoming violent. Please keep the 40 Days of Life Participants in your prayers. Not only are the pro-life participants becoming targets of harassment and assaults...the local police seem to be neglecting their job by not enforcing the laws.

That's awful! I will be praying. 40 Days for Life is such an awesome organization... I've participated with them and must say they are very godly, caring people and are doing a great job.

Wow ! I had not heard about this. They pro-choicers really cannot defend their point with logic now that we have ultrasound and can s maybe even save the tiniest of pre-term babies. So they must hit below the belt. I shouldn't be surprised.

What a deceptively nice-sounding phrase, "pro choice".

It sounds wonderful to have a choice, no?

But when one of the choices is murder, it somehow loses its appeal. Lloyd, you know how to push my buttons.

I am so appalled at the way pro-life groups are treated and portrayed. I saw a film once where there was a pro-life group on a sidewalk, with their signs, and, yes, some pictures of aborted babies. Now some may call this going to the extreme---but how many pro-abortionists have actually seen an aborted baby? There was a lady came along, became agitated, slapped one of the pro-lifers who had done nor said anything to this lady. She ended up on the sidewalk weeping. It was pitiful. But it seems everyone pro-abortion has freedom of speech and all those pro-life do not. These precious little souls need our intervention and we should never waiver.

Greetings Lloyd.
Gillian and I will certainly be praying for these people; and not only for them but also for the people who deem it necessary to attack or harass them.
Our position differs drastically from someone espousing pro-abortion, but it should NEVER come to violence on either side. Hope you're doing well, brother.

Forty days sounds like a wonderful group and it is a shame such things are happening to them. Prolifer all the way here. I wish them well in their endeavors. God bless them.

I'm keeping Forty Days of Life and all its participants in my prayer.

I'm pro-life, because I believe euthanasia and abortion are just fancy names for murder.

While the abortion supporters claim to be pro choice, they are in fact just anti-responsibility. The choice was made to take the chance of getting pregnant. Now they want to avoid taking responsibility for the choice. It's not hard to understand their opposition.
