March 25, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Top ‘gay-rights’ groups claiming to represent Christians and Catholics, and at least one Jesuit-run college, are being funded by a major homosexualist business magnate with the aim of stirring up dissent within the ranks of the church.

In a recent article Thomas Peters, Cultural Director for the National Organization for Marriage and founder of the American Papist blog, revealed the funding sources of various groups that promote acceptance of homosexuality under the guise of representing concerned members of the Judaeo-Christian community.

Groups such as New Ways Ministry, a top group recently condemned by the U.S. Catholic bishops, have received large sums from the Arcus Foundation for the purpose of promoting same-sex “marriage” specifically among Catholics, Lutherans, Episcopalians, and Jews. Click "Here" for the full article.

I found this to be a very interesting article that made me think of how the "love of money" can corrupt a Christian church. It so happens that gay activist billionaire Jon Stryker, who is the founder of the Arcus Foundation, is slipping his worldly lifestyle and ideas into several "Catholic" projects under the heading of "Religion and Values." The listings specifically describe plans to undermine Catholic Church teaching on sexuality from the inside.

This is a MUST READ for all "Believer's in Christ" because Satan is truly roaming around like a roaring lion in an attempt to devour his enemies.

There is clearly an agenda against the church. I believe the church as a whole need to understand why homosexuality is a perversion and not just superficially attack it as sin. It is Truth that sets people free.

I have written an article recently on the very subject of homosexuality and I believe it is something Christians need to understand in these times.

You can read it here: Homosexuality: Is it just about sex?

God bless, Richard

It amazes me that someone could stand up and say, "I'm a practicing adulterer, but I'm still a good Christian!" or, "I'm a child molester, but I'm still a good Christian!" and they'd be seen for the sinful pathetic creatures they would be. Yet a sodomist can do the equivalent and be praised for it. Apparently it IS the money talking.

I think scripture is clear that homosexuality is one of the sexual sins. I think Catholics know scripture. Maybe It's naive to think that they wouldn't cave into that. Hopefully money has no power over them. This is definitely something to keep in mind when praying. Thanks for sharing. God bless you and yours.

Some of the Psalms cry out to God for His justice as those who are evil seem to prosper but is also happening nowadays. I'd like to remind myself that someday, all of us are to face the One True Judge. I wonder what they'll say? Prayers...We must never cease like Paul said. Blessings to you bro. Lloyd.

I definitely think that the businesses and corporations shouldn't influence your churches involved in any way that would disturb your services.

However, I question the validity of a few points. "Catholics should be outraged that an outside group – which also funds anti-Catholic groups – is funding dissident organizations within the Church to confuse fellow Catholics and undermine our bishops and the teachings they articulate,” said Peters.
How are they operating this within the church? Are their motives to break up the church, or to talk about homosexuality?
I think people sometimes have a skewed perspective.

It's sad how homosexuality is becoming legal. In the biblical times, people would be stoned to death for it - How did they manage to get it legal without being killed, themselves?

When we begin to depend on other means than the plan given by God for support of the church, we open ourselves up to such influence. The separation of Church and state was not to protect the state, but to protect the church. Failure to separate from other influences carries the same danger.

Lloyd,

Although this news is very discouraging to hear, unfortunately, it's not surprising. Today's society, as well as some parts of the "Christian Community," seem to be plunging further and further into an immoral state. These are certainly some very sad times that we live in today.

At any rate, I wanted to thank you for inviting me to your blog and leaving a comment on mine. You seem to have some very thought provoking posts here.
