Requesting Prayer

Good evening: It has really been a strange week for me and my blog. I have been getting several unwanted emails and comments that contain slanderous and filthy remarks against me for posting articles relating to sexual immorality. Along with this, my "follow icon" has been removed from several blogs that I have been following for months without my approval.

I want to thank my dear brother in Christ, Ian Curtis, for letting me know that my "follow Icon" had been removed from his blog. I have checked several other blogs I follow and noticed that I have also been removed as a follower as well. I was beginning to think that the bloggers I have been following were removing my "follow icon" because maybe I had posted/commented or said something that had offended them.

Does anyone know if a bloggers "follow icon" can be removed by "anyone" who wishes to remove it? Anyways... I will be getting a hold of the Blogger Team to see what is happening and what I can do about this "harassment". Please pray for me and my blog ministry. God bless, Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,

I am so sorry that someone is doing this to you. I signed into my blog to see that you were missing there, too. I assure you, I have not removed you. I was just getting ready to write to you to find out if somehow I had offended you and that's why you were gone from my followers. I am glad to know that is not the case, but so sorry someone is messing with you like this. I hope that you can get it all worked out. We're praying!

Prayed before leaving a comment. I had time to visit friends and saw your request. It's not something surprising as we are under continuous spiritual attacks. May the Lord's discernment cover you and praying you'll find out the cause. God bless bro. Lloyd and may His Holy blood cover you and His mighty angels surround you and your family.

Hi Lloyd! I don't know too much about this kind of stuff, but you've disappeared from my "followers" also. Could you come back and replace yourself? LOL! No, I know the situation is not funny. It really irritates me that people are so petty. I mean the way I look at it is if they don't like what you say, don't read your blog, but don't be malicious about it. I know the spirit of the anti-Christ is rearing his ugly head higher and higher these days. Unfortunately, it's only going to get worse. All we can do is lean on the Lord and let Him take care of it. I'm sorry for your trouble, and will keep you and your blog in my prayers. I know someone else that had trouble with the same thing a while back. His blog has nothing to do with religious views although he does do stories with morals to them.God Bless! Don't let this person get you down, or hinder your "good work for the Lord".

Lloyd,
We surely can expect attacks, but it doesn't make it easy. However, you can rejoice, as Jesus says, when you are persecuted for righteousness' sake.
Just to be sure, I checked to see if your follow icon had been removed from my blog, and sure enough, it was gone! I noticed I suddenly lost a follower about a week ago--sorry I didn't notice the exact date, and didn't go to check who it was at the time, for various reasons. If you didn't stop following my blog, then I don't know how that can be possible.
I am praying for you, brother!

Hi Lloyd, A follower's icon can be removed from someone's followers gadget by either the person doing the following who chooses to stop following, or by the person who's blog you are following, by them choosing to block you. I just noticed that you are not showing on my blog, so I don't know if you stopped following me, but I did not remove it. I don't know anyway that someone else could remove it unless they somehow hacked in. But maybe you made someone mad who doesn't want to hear the truth.

Wow! I will certainly be praying. I know nothing about the follow icon but will check to see if you are still listed as a folower of GODthink. Keep strong and doing your good work. The enemy does not want the truth getting out there, but it needs to.

Hi Lloyd, I noticed it that your follow icon has been removed from my blog following list. Initially I was trying to find out why but only concluded that maybe you want to follow privately.
Thanks for the explanation and be rest assured for the Bible tells us in Matthew 5:3-10 that "Blessed are they who are prosecuted for the sake of righteousness for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven".
Even though I don't comment on all blogs of yours, I do read them always and they are indeed a blessing to me and a source of motivation. Keep trusting God and God bless you for your blog and your ministry. Fear not the arrows that fly by day Lloyd.

Hi Lloyd,

I have from time to time received comments from a few whose intent was to vent their anger, animosity, and resentment. Why people do this is a question I don't entertain, nor have an answer for; it is their choice.

I have come to realize that Christ died for the ungodly, a group I was formerly a part of. Salvation by grace did not cease when I accepted God's free gift; there are still others in need.

The words of Christ as He hung on the cross echo throughout eternity, "Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." (Luke 23:34, NASB)

I realize harsh words may be disturbing, upsetting, and perplexing, but I ask you brother to not take these things to heart. It is not you they rail against, it is the Lord.

Forgive them, pray for them, and bless them with the same grace we have received.

Blessings and peace.

Note: I did check and you do not appear to be following my blog. I do not know how this has happened, but rather than think it was a malicious act, I will think that it was an error in the system which can be easily resolved.

Hello Lloyd, I just saw that your icon has been removed from my followers list also but my followers count still shows as if you were still included. I have a count of 32 followers but only 31 listed. I hope this helps in debugging.

Keep the faith Lloyd, we pray with you.

The Unknowngnome said...

Lloyd, in my last comment I told you that I still had 32 followers but 31 pics, yours not being there. Now it list 31 followers and 31 pics. This all just happened at approximately 10:15 am est 3/1/11.

The Unknowngnome said...

Ok, I know why I see a difference in the counts. The designer in blogger shows my 32 followers but your pic is not there so there is a total of 31 displayed there. If I go to my blog it shows 31 followers and 31 pics.

Brother Lloyd, I'm sorry this is happening, but it also means you're intruding on satan's domain. I hope and pray His grace will cover you in these times.

It is especially important that the lie of homosexuality is exposed and the truth of true union between a man and woman is preached.

I will be writing about this topic in depth in the coming weeks on my blog.

God bless, Richard

someone probably already said this - but I would change your email that you log into blogger and your password - but make sure it doesn't make it to your old email address.
Ya - you left my blog as a follower too -
I will pray for you. Block the malicious email addresses - unless you want to read them in order to pray for them?
Also you can visit ANY blog that you used to follow and USUALLY there is a "follow button at the top next to the search box on the top left of the internet page. Some bloggers get rid of it - but most have them.
Sounds like someone hacked your blogger account to me IF you have been taken off blogs that you used to follow.
God bless you!
you can also close your comments to only allow blogger members - but don't know if that would help?

Lloyd, you are no longer following me either. You are always welcome in my little part of the world. I am still following you and read your posts frequently, although I don't comment a lot. You're a true blessing and keep it up! The devil hates it when we're productive for the Lord!

Sometimes it seems that it doesn't register me - but I am following you and came from my dashboard. :) So I see your new posts. :)
Thanks - God bless!

Lloyd -

I have prayed that God would give you insight into these issues. I truly appreciate your heart and this ministry.

I also appreciate how you're showing Christ while dealing with people who are lost. Though they say and/or do things that may be hurtful, you show great love and patience with them. That I admire in you brother.

I have noticed that your icon no longer shows. But I saw The Unknowngnome's comment and noticed that the number of followers on my blog noticed match the number of icons. I'm not sure how, but I think you're still a follower, but it doesn't show up.

When you see your feeds, do you see who you're following? I do hope you can get this resolved soon. I enjoyed your visits and comments.

God bless!

Hi Lloyd,

Glad you wrote! Satan always tries to deceive....I thought you didn't like something I said on my blog and stopped following.

I pray you get this all straightened out. Hang in there!

This is a bit of a whine – it is amazing how you can get upset by people sending you slanderous comments and yet again and again you disproportionately go on and on about homosexuality.

There are four verses in the Bible possibly relating to homosexuality, homosexuals make up around 1-3% of the population of Western societies. Is it any wonder why people get annoyed with you with this proportionate obsession you and other Evangelicals have with homosexuality? Have a read of the Gospels and see what really gets Jesus annoyed. It is people who glory in the ‘their righteousness’ and look down on others. If you can’t see that this what you are doing by the disproportionate number of posts you write concerning homosexuality, not to mention the ‘holier than thou’ tone of your posts then you really have to be pitied.

As you sow, so shall you reap – so I wouldn’t be surprised at offensive comments being made, because you are making offensive comments; you are suggesting there is a gradation of sin – which theology and scripture says is not true. Grasp this and there is hope for you and for us all!

Regards

S.

Anonymous - Hi Steve, hope all is well with you. I haven't heard from you for quite awhile, unless you are the one that is sending me all those "Anonymous" emails and comments. I really didn't think that I was whining at all. It is just annoying to continually receive anonymous communications from someone who refers to me in such a slanderous and abusive manner and at the same time claim to be a child of God. But that's alright because whoever is doing this....I forgive them.

I am truly sorry that you feel that I come over as a "self-righteous and holier than thou" person because this attitude is truly the furthest from the truth. What I believe is going on here Steve, is that it just isn't me or other evangelicals that bother you because of our strong faith in what God is leading us to preach and teach, it is the sin in your life that has become a stumbling block for the truth.

You are so right when you say that there is not a graduation or scale on how God judges sin. Sin is sin in the eyes of our Holy God and He does not show favorites when it comes to His judgment of sin. I have never said nor indicated that sexual immorality is anymore sinful in God's eyes then someone who lies, steals or commits murder. The most important and profound truth that I attempt to get across in all of my posts is that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.", so when we do "SIN" we need to repent and ask God's forgiveness and turn away from "SIN".

I am the first to admit that I am a sinner not worthy of the love and mercy that our Holy God has given me. However, I can testify to you and everyone else that reads this blog that I have repented of my sin and turned my life over to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

You again are right when you say, "As you sow, so shall you reap." I will continue to put down into words on this blog what the Lord leads me to write. There are a lot of theology and scriptures that we will never agree upon, but the one thing that is true in every believer's life is the love for Jesus. But if we have sin in our lives we begin to fall away from fellowship with God.

It really isn't important on how many posts deal with sexual immorality that are on this blog or any other Christian blog. What is important is that we not allow sexual immorality to become a normal way of living out our lives in a belief that it is God's will. It is my prayer that when anyone reads the posts on this blog that the Holy Spirit will convict them into repentance and that they will get down on their knees and allow Jesus to be a part of their life. God bless, Lloyd

Hi Lloyd,

I was sorry to read that you had a problem with suspect purposeful deletion of those who want to follow your blog. As many have already said here, we do not really battle flesh and blood, but powers and principalities of "the air" who want to squash the gospel message.

I am so glad that you found my blog and invited me over here! What a blessing your blog will be in my life. I am a new follower and will be checking in here often.

I think that your response to "Anonymous Steve" was excellent and Holy Spirit led. All that we can do as believers in Jesus is spread the seed of the gospel. God does the harvesting.

A prayer of protection over your ministry work here has been sent up to the Lord today.

In Christ,
Christine

P.S. Love the name of your blog!

I don't know if this has anything to do with your troubles (or how your deletions were selected); but I have previously commented on your blog and you were deleted from my list of followers. I would be curious if this is true of any others?

I concur with Tammy's comment, I have never heard of this happening...but I am a bit new at this, so that is probably not much of a data point.

I have prayed that you would be strengthened, comforted, encouraged and protected during this time. Please don't grow weary of well-doing...He is paying attention.

Lloyd I'm so sorry this has happened to you! You are missing on my blog too, and I miss you. I just came out to see what's up. Glad I did. I'll be praying about this. If the e-mail is coming from a single source you can block them in your Mailbox. Just add the address to your Junk-Email list and select "Block." It's hard to understand how some believe they have all the freedom in the USA and others have none. Not exactly the type of person I can respect. We are either all free, or we are not. You can't elevate your position over others and say they are inferior, pushing an agenda others don't support and expect respect. Thankfully, we have Christ's love to help us with days like this.

Daniel V said...

Lloyd, I am sorry that this is happening to you. Jesus tells us many times that we will be hated and persecuted, not because of us, but because of him. When someone speaks the truth, those who are convicted by it, can either accept it and change or "kill the messenger" so to speak.
I can understand where you are coming from, one of the reasons I have as a stipulation for leaving a comment that you have a name. I don't post anonymous comments. They know me, it's only proper that I know them. With the shroud of anonymity people think they can get away with things, but our Father in Heaven knows all things, even those done in secret.
Keep the fighting the good fight and continue with perseverance.

Leviticus 18:22 calls homosexuality abomination. Romans 1:26-27 say it is against nature and those who partake do what is shameful and receive a penalty due for the act.
Nothing Lloyd has written about this topic matches the intensity of the Holy Spirit's language when addressing homosexuality; even if these three verses were the only ones that existed: which they are not.
Lloyd, it grieves and angers me if anyone named a brother sides against you on the plainly revealed will of God regarding sex and its place for men and women.
Seldom have I crossed someone so desirous to preach Christ to others, and for that we ought to love you, not malign you.
Remember, brother, that it matters not at all what men say of us at the judgment, but what our Lord says. Are we faithful to Him and His word? Then it hardly matters if all the world turns against us, though it hurts. You are in our hearts and prayers, Lloyd.
Don't stop preaching!
