Gay protesters swarm Chicago cathedral

Gay protesters swarm Chicago cathedral, police do nothing

By Kathleen Gilbert

CHICAGO, February 25, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The city of Chicago ordered its police force not to enforce the law against a mob of homosexualist activists who disrupted Mass at the Holy Name Cathedral to protest “anti-gay bigots” who support the Church’s teaching on marriage.

The Gay Liberation Network staged the rally on the eve of Valentine’s Day, shouting and chanting loudly as churchgoers entered to celebrate Sunday Mass. The demonstration’s primary target was Cardinal Francis George of Chicago, who has spoken out in defense of traditional marriage between a man and a woman. Protesters had staged a similar disruption around the same time last year. Click "Here" for the complete story.

This is a glimpse of the near future in which sexual deviants will have more rights than other citizens, and in which the law will be applied selectively and only by permission of the “progressive” functionaries. Christian everywhere may have soon a good reason to meditate upon the words of Jesus: “If you have a cloak, sell it and buy a sword.” Will your church be the next to be swarmed by Gay protesters?

Let us all pray that God will intervene and protect His church. Let us always remember that we love the sinner but hate the sin. We have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God! In God's eyes "Sin is Sin" no matter what name you call it. Let us all pray that those who have committed sexual immorality will turn to God and repent, asking God's forgiveness, and come back into fellowship with Him.

It may take civil lawsuits against police chiefs for discrimination against Christians to turn the tide on these things. True Christians have trouble bringing themselves to using such means, unfortunately.

Unfortunately, in this day and age, we are seeing increasingly the use of gang disruption and even force to accomplish what is desired. And, because of weak and corrupt politicians, everyday folks are coerced into circumstances that they do not agree with.

It is written that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. Perhaps it is time to take back our religion, our government and our beliefs BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Enough!

That's a great reminder to "love the sinner but hate the sin." May Christians stand strong in these evil days. God bless.

Hi Lloyd,

It wasn't that long ago that Pro-Life protesters were being handcuffed and dragged away from abortion clinics. How is democracy being defined now? Do Christian American citizens have the right to have opposing views with political action groups. If Christians can't be duped into accepting another gospel, just bully and intimdate them.

Unlike gay right activists, the Catholics in this video demonstrated peace, patience, and love for those who shouted words of hate.

Blessings and peace.

Gorges - I have seen churches get restraining orders to keep certain folks away that disrupt church services. The Bible teaches that if one believer has a claim against another believer they are to work it out within the church. However, if it is a claim against a non-believer sometimes the only recourse is civil action through the government body. I just know that these folks here need lots of prayer. God bless.

Clint - You are right...there is more and more corruption within our government and legal system. If the police refuse to uphold the law then the system breaks down and chaos will occur. There is a time for every purpose under the sun....and with the Lords guidance justice will be served either on earth or in heaven. Blessings my friend.

RCUBEs - In times of trouble and conflict the followers of Jesus must stand together united as one in body, mind and soul. The world is always watching to see if we "Christians" are going to react as they would under pressure. We must show love and patience with non-believers, but at the same time stand our ground and let the world know who Christ is and what He stands for. God bless.

MTJ - The gay movement in America today is a very strong political group that seems to make our elected politicians become weak-kneed because they fear losing their government jobs. It is really sad when a minority group can bully and intimidate their selves upon the majority because they can cry out "discrimination" and the legal system backs off. I am also proud of our Catholic brother and sisters that demonstrated peace, patience and love while being heckled by the demonstrators. Blessings.

Lloyd my son is gay. He withheld telling me for 19 years being afraid of my reaction. He is also a christian but after many years of living a double life he decided to "come out" on face book.
I still love my son with all my heart even though I disagree with his life choices completely. Jesus tell us we are not to judge. It's as simple as that. I must tell you that, ever since he saw just how accepting I am of the decisions he makes in his life, he has drawn much closer to me. Thank you lord. God bless you my friend and may God's church be peaceful, even under attack. Geoff.

Geoff, thank you for sharing with us about your son. There is nothing more powerful than a parents love for their child. Like our Almighty God, we as parents must love our children unconditionally. As a Christian, we must always live by God's Word and the love of Jesus. Sexual immorality is very strong to overcome. However, with God all things are possible. Like a lot of folks, I too have family members that have decided to live the "gay lifestyle". I continue to love them but they also know that they are not living in God's will. I will be lifting you and your son up to the Lord in prayer. God bless, Lloyd

It is a mark of the turning away from both God and our constitution that such behavior is countenanced. It is illegal for anyone to break up a public gathering in such a manner. May thew Lord return soon.
