CEO Claims Her Work is ‘Sacred’!

New Planned Parenthood CEO claims work is ‘sacred’

A Planned Parenthood affiliate’s newest president and CEO said in an official statement that she regards her work for the biggest abortion business in America to be a holy profession.

Melaney Linton, who will now oversee Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, is determined to further the Life-ending work of Planned Parenthood:

“I am honored and humbled to be entrusted with such a sacred duty…I pledge to do everything in my power to fight back against the ideological attacks on Planned Parenthood and women, so that no teen will ever say she didn’t know how she got pregnant, no one will ever be denied basic reproductive health care, and no woman will ever be forced to bear children she cannot adequately support.”

Starting March 1st, Linton will manage 13 abortion and abortion-referring centers in Southeast Texas and Louisiana, as well as the largest abortion mill in America, located in Houston, Texas.

Just reading this article concerning the new Planned Parenthood's CEO claiming that her work is "sacred" and that she will do everything in her power to fight back against the ideological attacks so women will never be forced to "... bear children she cannot adequately support.", makes me wonder what her definition of "sacred" is.  Now if you look up the word "scared" in a dictionary you will get something like the following:

sa·cred [sey-krid] adjective

1.  devoted or dedicated to a deity or to some religious purpose; consecrated.

2.  entitled to veneration or religious respect by association with divinity or divine things; holy.

3.  pertaining to or connected with religion ( opposed to secular  or profane): sacred music; sacred books.

4.  reverently dedicated to some person, purpose, or object: a morning hour sacred to study.

5.  regarded with reverence: the sacred memory of a dead hero.

Now I am willing to bet that Ms. Linton's definition of "sacred" is not in accordance with the Word of God.  What are some of your opinion's regarding the new Planned Parenthood President/CEO's official statement regarding her new job?

My opinion is that she borders on blasphemy. Ms. Linton should stop and thank God that, as Luke 6:35 says, "He is gracious to the ungrateful and the evil."

I am particularly touched by her vow that "...no woman will ever be forced to bear children she cannot adequately support...". It sounds so noble and just.

I'm not really up on this stuff, being an old, straight, white male, but it does seem to me there used to be a way to keep from having children who could not be supported and/or out-of-wedlock. But I suppose it could have been an old WIVES' tale. :)

I guess I never knew that infanticide was sacred. I suppose euthanasia is, too.

Reproductive health care? A non-threatening way of saying Abortion. And no woman should be "forced" to bear children she cannot adequately support? Is the ability to "support" a child the determining factor now? They have never heard of adoption? And who forced these woman to spread their legs and get pregnant? Opps... sorry. Politically incorrect. Next, I will hear about the rape and incest cases. Shame on Ms. Linton.

This once again reaffirms:

Lloyd, Keep up the good work!

I wonder who she thinks she is fooling. Still we have lots of ads paid by the government against smoking and binge drinking etc, but never on the responsibility to not get pregnant if one is not planning a child. Many women use abortion as a contraceptive... no thought that it is murder, or what it does to their body and mind. There are magazine articles about women who never get over their abortion, but probably aimed at older women.
Blessings, Jan

Our country has been allowed to exclude God and His Word for so long now that current generations of our society have never known the peace and prosperity of His leadings. It is our fault, of course, for electing politicians who want God removed from our lives. Does anyone really think He is not paying attention? Does anyone really think there will not be HELL to pay?

I fully agree with Clint above. The core of the problem is not acknowledging God in our lives.
This is a businesswoman who will snuff out innocent lives - these fetuses who have absolutely no say or any other way of defense. Does this woman have a conscience?
Sadly, this lover of money will one day have to give an account to a very angry God.

And the "end of times" draws nearer. Satan is certainly like that roaring lion, boasting of good works which in reality are only deceptions and lies, and Planned Parenthood is in his hands.

It seems it's just the way of the world sadly. I believe that abortion is wrong, but there are issues that need looking at; for instance what if a woman becomes pregnant after a rape? Can anyone say that isn't a contentious issue? It would need the wisdom of Solomon to rectify that. That said, it seems that in many parts of the world abortion is used merely as a contraceptive, as a device for women to do what they like and hang the consequences!

We as Christians have laws and precepts to live by and we need, gently but firmly, to educate those who don't know on God's just laws, and certainly His love; we need to communicate this even when people take up a completely opposite stance. It is always all about getting back to the Gospel message.

Gay and Lesbian marriages, Abortions, Population control, starvation by pricing food out of reach, One world government? I have heard about a concerted drive by some affluent governments to reduce the world population to only one billion people.
They certainly seem to be making headway.
Well Melaney, aren't you glad your mother didn't abort you?

as of January 22nd, our country surpassed 50+ million abortions. I wonder if she considers it her sacred duty to increase that? Such as sad case of mass murder, someday soon God's patience is going to run out.
