Ricky Martin Reveals He's Gay

Well folks, here we go again with another Hollywood celebrity going public about being gay. After years of sidestepping questions about his sexual orientation, singer Ricky Martin reveals in a heartfelt posting online that he is gay.

It just saddens my heart to think of the millions of fans that idolizes Ricky Martin that may be influenced to adopt his homosexual lifestyle as their own. In a statement posted in both Spanish and English, Martin said: "I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man. I am very blessed to be who I am."

It is interesting how these Hollywood celebrities throw around the word "Blessed" when describing their sinful lifestyles. Now the word bless or blessed (adj) means Worthy of worship; Holy; Held in veneration; Revered. My question is this: Is Ricky Martin really blessed? Does our Holy God bless a person who willfully engages in sin and does not repent?

Amen, amen and amen! Well said Lloyd. God does not bless disobedience, nor does He approve or bless those engaged in outright sin.

Why would God choose to bless something that His Son, our Savior Jesus Christ died on a cross for. He suffered immeasurably more than we will ever know? Jesus didn't dies so someone can live in sin and disobedience. But He died so that our sins would be forgiven when we repent and receive Christ. He died so that we might walk in victory.

How sad for Mr. Martin. In his statement, he just revealed his sinful nature and need for a Savior. May we pray that God will redeem this man from his sin.

Our nation and this world is quick to give hardy approval and applaud those who live and promote sin.

There but for the grace of God go I. Thank You Jesus!

My heart sinks with the sadness. A beautiful young man given over to evil and proud of it...what is this world doing??

Oh lord, touch his heart today and show him his path to destruction. Bring him to bended knees in repentance, and open your truth to his heart. In Jesus name. Amen.Amen ..

Ricky Martin is an amazing humanitarian who does good work to make the world a better place in his fight against child trafficking. He uses his "celebrity" for good and gives back.
All I can say to you is "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:"

Thank you Susan, Crystal Mary, and Carol for your visits and comments. Carol, you are right, that God is the only one that can judge us sinners. We must be careful, however, to condemn only the practice, and not the people. Those who commit homosexual acts are not to be feared, ridiculed, or hated. They can be forgiven and their lives can be transformed. The church should be a haven of forgiveness and healing for repentant homosexuals without compromising its stance against homosexual behavior.

We (Christians) have a duty to tell the world what God's truth is regarding homosexuality and any other sin. God is willing to receive anyone who comes to Him in faith, and Christians should love and accept others no matter what their background. The Bible teaches that we must love the person, but hate the sin. God can and will forgive sexual sins just as He forgives other sins. God does not obligate nor encourage us to fulfill all our desires (even normal ones). Those desires that violate His laws must be controlled.

Let us all pray for Ricky Martin and allow our Holy God to convict him of his sinful ways. God bless, Lloyd

This saddens me too. Good for you for being so bold on your blog. In this world where wrong is viewed as right and right as intolerant. I applaude your stand. I feel exactly the same way.

Thank you very much for talking about this subject. The spirit of homosexuality is so strong in America today. Satan is so bold that he is coming out full force. Oh, this is the time for we who are prayer warriors to stand and fight.

I was going to add a comment about loving the person but not the sin, but you said it all in your comment, Lloyd. :)

It's about time, we all new it but he had to wait until it was good timing for him, I guess. Not one to judge just feel sorry for him to take so long to be himself. Hope you are well.

God does NOT bless someone who is defiant of his laws. This is a sin, plain and simple. And though I can't judge(I'm a sinner too) God will. And Jesus died for him. He took his homosexuality on his back.

I hope that he sees the light. The Jesus light. =)

Our nation has become so tolerant of anything goes behavior. It is very sad. The forefathers built this country to be a God fearing one. Not anymore. Very sad. I have prayed that God will lead this man to someone who will help him change his lifestyle.

Blessed is NOT a word I would use. He is not blessed by God in choosing this lifestyle. Thanks Lloyd.

In the Netherlands, gay sexuality is so widely accepted that its a discriminating as you say it is sin. People get angry when you say that the Bible thinks otherwise.

Gay couples marry in church. Go to the Lord's Supper. It is a terrible sin. Let us pray for them. Send Your Spirit and Truth, Lord, that they lead us ...

Oh I wish that political correctness would be placed far from the Church of God. Let us all pray that God in His mercy will convict of sin and grant repentance for those who are ignorant and out of the way concerning His will and plan for their lives. Ricky has fallen prey to the lies invading this culture of humanism.
